Nurturing Parenting Class

We are a certified vendor for the Department of Children's Services Tennessee

"I was lost as a parent and had hit a wall with my teenager. I was so tired. But, after this class, I felt empowered and in control for the first time in several years.". Julia

Parenting Class is a 12 hour curriculum specifically written to inform the parent or guardian on trauma and how trauma is experienced, expressed and overcome.  We utilize the Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) questionnaire as the starting point to determine a parents own trauma, and then their child's. We are Tennessee compliant Title 6, Chapter 6 of BSBTN.  Parents will learn the signs of Post Traumatic Disorder (PTSD) and how to build resiliency in their child.

The 12 hour class will explore parenting styles, and stages of development. It will also cover good nutrition and needs through each stage of growth. The class helps to learn setting up the home up for success with structure and healthy boundaries. Parents will learn listening skills and best ways to communicate with their child on a deeper and more meaningful level.

Parenting class is specific to the East Tennessee region, and the needs of local parents, schools, courts and DCS.  It will cover Tennessee State laws and how those can keep children safe.

Our number one goal for the Parenting Class is to deter child abuse, and to help families establish their identity  in order to reach success.

Dates       and Times of Classes

Call, or email for schedule of our next class.

Classes run consecutively for 2 weeks, and then start over again. Each class will build upon the last class, therefore if a class is missed, a parent would need to wait until the next class to get back in.

We offer 2 Saturdays per month in addition. These are for the parents or caregivers which may not be able to attend an evening class.

We now require every parent to take the Darkness to Light Child Abuse Prevention embedded within the parenting class.

*Graduation is the last day of the last Thursday or Saturday.

We will not hide them from their children, shewing to the generation to come the praises of the LORD, and his strength, and his wonderful works that he hath done.  Psalm 78:4
